Why parents choose LEAD

Four things a summer camp, a club or a certificate course can’t give your child.

  • Proof, not a promise

A finished project, a company-signed certificate and a personal letter describing the work, all things your child can point to in applications and interviews. We never promise admissions outcomes.

  • Career clarity before college

Six weeks doing the real work shows whether a field fits, before you pay for a degree in it.

  • Grown-up skills

Deadlines, written feedback and presenting to a real team: the habits that make students stand out at university and at work.

  • Built around school

5–10 hours a week, mostly on their own schedule, with one 1-on-1 mentor session a week in your time zone.

How the 6 weeks work

Most of the work happens on your own schedule. Once a week you meet your mentor 1-on-1 to show progress and get feedback.

Built for under-18s from day one.

Your child will be working with adults at a company. These are the rules every LEAD internship runs on.

  • Every host company gets checked

We’ll verify the company and the named mentor before any student is matched.

  • 1-on-1, never unsupervised

Mentor sessions and messages happen on LEAD’s channels. A LEAD coordinator can see every message and join any session.

  • We collect the minimum

We’ll only ask for what we need to run the internship, and we won’t sell it.

  • A named coordinator

Every student will have a LEAD coordinator parents can reach, from match to certificate.

One price. Everything included.

  • No application fee
  • No upsells

Is LEAD right for your child?

Being honest about fit is how we keep the program worth joining.

A great fit if your child is

  • Aged 14–18 and curious about a career
  • Can give 5–10 hours a week for 6 weeks
  • Wants real feedback from someone who does the job
  • Comfortable working in English, online

Probably not the right fit if they’re

  • Looking for a guaranteed college admission (nobody can promise that)
  • Can’t commit a few hours every week right now
  • Wants an in-person office internship
  • Wants a certificate without doing the work

What parents ask us

Anything else? Every answer is on the FAQ page, or book a free call.

How much does LEAD Internships cost?

$1,989 (USD) for the full 6-week internship, everything included. Book a free call to ask anything first, and if cost is a barrier, tell us on the call.

What’s included in the price?

Matching with a host company in your field, 6 weekly 1-on-1 sessions with your mentor, a scoped project brief with written feedback, a certificate of completion signed by the company, a personal letter from your mentor, and a LEAD coordinator from start to finish.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, guaranteed. Every student who completes the program receives a certificate of completion signed by their host company, plus a personal letter from their mentor describing their work.

Will an internship help with college applications?

It gives you real work to write and talk about, which many students find useful in applications and interviews. We can’t promise any admissions outcome, and we won’t.

How do you keep students safe?

Our rules: every host company and mentor is checked before matching, 1-on-1 mentor sessions and messages happen only on LEAD’s channels, where a coordinator can see messages and join any session, and every student has a named coordinator parents can reach.

How many hours a week does it take?

Between 5–10 hours a week for 6 weeks, including one 1-on-1 session with your mentor each week.

What if I have exams or fall behind?

Tell your LEAD coordinator early. Because most of the work is on your own schedule, you can move hours between weeks, and your coordinator and mentor will agree a plan with you.

Real work. Before college.
